What Gives You The Right
Fish swim through the coral, turtles float on free
A gentle breeze blows cross the landscape, caressing hills and trees
But then a sound comes out of nowhere, another nations military
What do you think gives you the right, to do this to my, country
What do you think gives you the right, to do this to my, country
Idyllic dune surroundings, of rare identity
Forests flow to the waters edge, in this national heritage
Now there’s roar of jets fall overhead, U.S. weaponry
What do you think gives you the right, to do this to my, country
What do you think gives you the right, to do this to my, country
Wildlife run for cover, as trespassers kill with glee
Pollute the land for years to come, radioactivity
Trample on my countries rights, our nationality
What do you think gives you the right, to do this to my, country
What do you think gives you the right, to do this to my, country
Instrumental
Now another soldier’s laid to rest, a new obituary
Another life is sacrificed in this science travesty
Another test, another bomb how much longer till we see
What do you think gives you the right, to do this to my, country
What do you think gives you the right, to do this to my, country
Now politicians talk up prejudice, spread fear and preach deceit
To justify this madness, for trade and their conceit
But when the tallies finally taken, contamination’s bittersweet
What do you think gives you the right, to do this to my, country
What do you think gives you the right, to do this to my, country
